![]() ![]() The damage done by the same Desecrate is exactly the same.ĭropping something from 0% to -50% should result in 1.5x damage.Ī 50% boost in damage should be more than enough to kill off the tiny remaining life an Urdar would have when not hexed. Now cast a Lower Resistance curse with -50% all resistance. Desecrate dealing 51k damage doesn't quite kill a regular Urdar (which has 0 poison resistance, per Arreat Summit: ). Take a necro into the River of Flame with P8 settings, Hell difficulty. My in game testing suggests it is not working as you state. Could you verify? Perhaps it is only working on some resistances (I think I recall people saying conviction and lower res weren't working properly early season with immunity breaking for certain elements). I think that might be the intended mechanic, but I think it's broken. Get them cheap facets.ĭownload the excel and check it out for yourself. It probably devalues pierce on your gear and mastery actually. It's probably more worth it than I originally indicated. Infinity does open up a few lvl 85areas to full clears:Īncient tunnels disused reliquary, forgotten temple, arcane sanctuary (This is not alvl85 but is popular to farm for runes so breaking the immunes here just makes it less of a PIA.) Currently each map has 1 fire immune monsters type. Rushing seals and letting your merc kill the guys your cannot. To me this means you are still running CS the same as without infinity. Chaos Sanctuary with you will break the knights but not the fire breather guys (Technical terminology sorry). Unfortunately, the mobs that are broken are typically in areas with mobs that also wont be broken. Infinity will break roughly 2/3s of fire immunes in D2/PD2. ![]() If they have changed them, then ignore me. As long as this mod did not change normal monster resistances then my analysis is correct. The spreadsheet I started with is from 2012 and should be updated for monster resistances in 1.10+. I thought I'd do a little checking on monster resistances and mastery pierce to see if it was worth it. ![]() Several times a day someone comes into the Sorc Discord channel asking if they should make an infinity for their fire Sorc, or they are lamenting the fact that they made one and it's not working out how they wanted. If you are farming in areas with many monsters 33 fire res or below you are gaining some benefit from infinity. I've updated this post based on senpais clarification below. ![]()
